All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

In adherence to the social distancing recommendations provided by the CDC, we have implemented strict protocols at our clinic to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

  • Patients who have active symptoms of illness or a fever of 100 degrees or higher must call ahead to arrange after-hours dosing.
  • The number of people allowed inside the building at any given time is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines.
  • The number of people waiting in line is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines, and those present must maintain a minimum distance of six feet from one another.
  • To maintain line restrictions, patients are asked to wait in their cars until direction is given.

Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, on-site visitation is no longer allowed at Desert Comprehensive Treatment Center.

  • This restriction has been implemented in compliance with updated corporate and state regulations to further reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services are being vetted and may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

Desert Comprehensive Treatment Center provides medication-assisted treatment for men and women, aged 18 and older, who are trapped in the dangerous cycle of opioid abuse.

Desert Comprehensive Treatment Center proudly provides patients with an all-inclusive treatment approach in order to address the physical and emotional components of their addictive behaviors. The following medications are available for patients to incorporate into their customized plans of treatment:

Methadone:Methadone is an opioid agonist that provides patients with relief from the physical symptoms of withdrawal while keeping cravings for additional opioid use at bay. Because the use of methadone will not cause patients to experience cognitive disruptions, patients are able to play an active role in daily activities without interruption.

Subutex: With buprenorphine as its active ingredient, Subutex works by eliminating withdrawal symptoms. Subutex is a partial opioid agonist-antagonist and counteracts the effects of opioids within a patient’s brain. This medication also provides patients with relief from craving additional opioids.

Suboxone: Utilizing a combination of naloxone and buprenorphine, Suboxone eliminates the physical symptoms of withdrawal and diminishes cravings for continued opioid use. Unlike other medications that are prescribed in treatment, individuals will experience the uncomfortable symptoms of withdrawal should they attempt to abuse opioids or other substances when taking this medication.

The specific medication that is prescribed as well as the dosage that is given will be dependent upon the unique treatment requirements of each individual patient. Medications can be changed and adjusted throughout the course of treatment if necessary.

Desert Comprehensive Treatment Center feels that patients must also receive treatment for the emotional aspects of their addiction if lasting recovery is to be achieved. The following therapeutic services are available for patients to utilize as part of their comprehensive treatment plan:

  • Individual therapy sessions provide patients the chance to work one-on-one with a highly qualified counselor in order to address the underlying emotions, behaviors, and factors that may have contributed to their addictive behaviors in the first place. Individual sessions also allow patients to work through any questions or issues that may arise during the course of treatment.
  • Our dedicated counselors who are specifically trained in the field of addiction lead group sessions. These sessions bring together patients and their peers in a safe and supportive environment in which to discuss an array of topics designed to help patients progress in their treatment. By working with other individuals who understand firsthand the struggles associated with recovery, patients are able to build a strong network of peers with whom they can relate. .

At Desert Comprehensive Treatment Center, patients are given the opportunity to work closely alongside our team of counselors, physicians, and nurses in order to receive the support that is required to successfully progress beyond the dangers of opioid addiction. The staff at Desert Comprehensive Treatment Center understands the struggles associated with this disease and are dedicated to providing patients with compassionate care every step of the way.
